Information on card use

  • All merchants are subject to the merchant registration and industry classification standards of Hyundai Card.
  • Hyundai Card is committed to fulfilling the product description.
  • Application of multiple credit cards within the same period may impact your personal credit score, credit limit, etc.
  • Extra services offered with the card, including points and discounts, will remain valid without reduction or discontinuation for at least three years after new launch of card (November 27, 2023). Notwithstanding the foregoing, card company may modify extra services under the following situations:
    • In case of inevitable circumstances such as temporary business suspension, bankruptcy or business crisis of card company
    • In case of inevitable reduction or change of extra service due to temporary business suspension, bankruptcy or business crisis of partner and it is impossible to provide similar extra service through another partner
    • In case partner goes against the will of card company and reduces or changes the concerned extra service and a different extra service is provided that is equivalent to the initial extra service
    • In case profitability of product drops considerably due to the concerned extra service after the extra service has been provided for at least three years
  • If card company changes extra service, the reason for the change, details of the change, etc. will be immediately posted on the website after occurrence of the cause of the change and notified by at least two methods of individual notification methods. In particular, if an extra service is changed due to being unable to maintain the concerned card's profitability and at least three years have passed since new launch of card, a monthly notification will be provided in at least two methods starting six months prior to the change takes effect.
    • Individual notification methods: Written form, postal mail or email, phone or fax, mobile phone message or other equivalent means of electronic expression of will
  • Annual fee will be charged when card is issued.
  • Card annual fee (base fee + partnership fee) will be charged for each card you own.
  • In case of delinquency of card bill, an overdue interest rate consisting of the agreed-upon interest rate plus additional delinquency interest rate of 3% will be applied (varying by customer and by the product used, and within the statutory interest rate maximum of 20%). If there is no agreed-upon interest rate at the time of delinquency, the following will apply:
    • Lump sum: Agreed-upon interest rate applied to interest-charged installment plans for the shortest installment period (2 months) as of the date of the transaction plus additional delinquency interest rate of 3%
    • Interest-free installment: Agreed-upon interest rate applied to interest-charged installment plans for the same installment period as of the date of the transaction plus additional delinquency interest rate of 3%
  • If credit card use is excessive compared to your ability to repay, your personal credit score may drop.
  • In case of drop of personal credit score, negative repercussions in connection with financial transactions may arise.
  • If delinquent on principal and interest payments beyond a certain period, the entire amount of principal and interest may become due and payable.
  • In case you are found unfit to be issued a credit card (due to reasons such as delinquency or low personal credit score), card issuance may be restricted.
  • Card bill and any fees thereof shall be paid by the designated due date.
  • Pursuant to Article 19-1 of the Act on the Protection of Financial Consumers, financial consumer has the right to receive explanation on concerned product or service.
