-
Supplementary card benefits, including points and discounts, are guaranteed to remain in effect for at least three years from the card’s launch date (January 19, 2024) without reduction or cancellation.
- Notwithstanding the above, the credit card company may change the supplementary services in the event of any of the followings:

- Any of our relevant partners reduces the scope of benefits offered for your credit card or offers different benefits from what it has agreed to without our consent; or
- The profitability of the product has significantly decreased due to the relevant supplementary benefit, provided that the benefit has been offered for at least three years.
-
In the event of any changes to supplementary services, we will immediately publish the details and the reasons for the modifications on our website, and notify you using at least two of the available notification methods. Specifically, if benefits are modified due to declining profitability on our end, we will send you monthly notifications via at least two different methods for six months before the change takes effect. Please note that such changes will only occur if at least three years have passed since your card’s initial launch.
- Method of notification: Written notice via mail, email, telephone, fax, mobile text message, or other comparable electronic means
- The annual fee is billed in advance upon card issuance.

If an agreed-upon interest rate does not exist at the time of delinquency, the following will apply:- Lump-sum payments: The applicable interest rate for a minimum 2-month interest-bearing installment plan as of the transaction date, plus a 3% overdue spread
- Interest-free installments: The applicable interest rate for an interest-bearing installment plan of the same term length, determined as of the original transaction date, plus a 3% overdue spread
- Be aware that excessive credit card use exceeding your repayment capacity may lower your credit rating.
- A decline in your credit rating may result in disadvantages during future financial transactions.
- Failure to repay the principal and interest for a specified period may result in the obligation to repay the entire outstanding balance immediately.
- Credit card issuance may be declined if you do not meet the eligibility requirements (such as having existing arrears or a low credit rating).
- The credit card balance and all associated fees shall be paid on the designated payment date.
- Under Article 19 (1) of the Financial Consumer Protection Act, financial consumers have the right to receive an explanation of the financial products or services they intend to use as a financial consumer.

(For a reissued card, the 12-month period is still calculated from the original card’s issuance confirmation month) - Cashback eligibility: Your Hyundai Card X account must be in good standing at the time of disbursement
(Ineligible if the card has been canceled, suspended (due to delinquency, etc.), or changed to a different card product) - Cashback timing & method: During any month you reach a KRW 5,000,000 spending milestone (up to 5 times), the cashback will be deposited into your designated Hyundai Card payment account

Please Note
- Cashback deposit timing may vary depending on individual account circumstances (i.e. adjustments to your cumulative annual spending caused by canceled transactions)
-
Spending Calculation
- The previous month’s spending is calculated as the total sum of lump-sum and installment payments made with the Hyundai Card X (primary + family cards) from the first day to the last day of the previous calendar month
- The previous year’s spending is calculated as the total sum of lump-sum and installment payments made with a Hyundai Card X (primary + family cards) over a 12-month period, starting from and including the month of card issuance confirmation(For reissuances, the 12-month period is still calculated based on the issuance confirmation month)
- Installment purchases and revolving balance transactions are counted toward the spending of the month based on their initial approval date
- Total calculated spending may vary in the event of delayed merchant transaction clearing or canceled transactions
- For canceled transactions, the refunded amount will be deducted from the total spending of the original approval month, not the month the cancellation occurred. If this deduction causes your total to fall below the required spending minimum for that previous month, the corresponding benefits will not be provided
- For delayed-authorization merchants, such as public transit cards, and overseas payments, the transaction amount will be applied to the relevant month based on the merchant billing date
-

Common Guidelines for Lounge & Valet Parking Services
- For newly issued cards, these benefits are provided without meeting the previous month’s spending requirement of KRW 500,000 until the end of the month following the card issuance month
- Annual Limit Calculation: Calculated based on a 12-month cycle starting from the initial month of card issuance (In the event of a card reissuance, the 12-month cycle remains tied to the original card’s issuance month)
- Services are restricted if the card is not in good standing, such as for closed memberships, expired cards, canceled cards, or suspended transactions
-
Spending Calculation
- The previous month’s spending is calculated as the total sum of lump-sum and installment payments made with a Hyundai Card X (primary + family cards) from the first day to the last day of the previous calendar month
- For delayed-authorization transactions, such as public transit and recurring payments, as well as overseas payments, the transaction amount will be applied to the relevant month based on the merchant submission date
-
Exclusions from Spending Calculation
- Long-term card loans (Card Loan), short-term card loans (Cash Advance), annual fees, other card fees, and interest payments
- International brand fees and overseas service fees

- If you have utilized the Emergency Discount (upfront point service), the discount amounts and cashback earned from your Basic and Extra Benefits will be automatically applied toward the repayment of that advance (Calculated on a combined basis for both primary and family cards)

Notes on Card Usage
For overseas transactions (including those at online overseas merchants) made with a domestic & international use card, the transaction amount in USD is converted to KRW using Shinhan Bank’s initial Telegraphic Transfer (TT) selling rate on the date the transaction is received by Hyundai Card. Then, an international brand fee (Visa: 1.1%/Amex: 1.4%) and a Hyundai Card overseas service fee (0.2%) are applied and included in the final KRW billing amount. Please refer to the Hyundai Card website for more details regarding international brand fees.
Calculation of Billed Amount for Overseas Spending
*Total Billed Amount for an International Transaction = (USD Transaction Amount x TT Selling Rate¹) + International Brand Fee² + Overseas Service Fee³
1.TT Selling Rate: The initial TT selling rate posted by Shinhan Bank on the date the transaction is received
2.International Brand Fee: (USD Transaction Amount x International Brand Fee Rate of 1.1% or 1.4%) x TT Selling Rate
3.Overseas Service Fee: (USD Transaction Amount x Overseas Service Fee Rate of 0.2%) x TT Selling Rate
Blocking KRW Payments Overseas
When you choose to pay in KRW at an overseas merchant, Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) occurs, and additional fees may be charged. To avoid these fees, always ensure you request to pay in the local currency or USD.
- Website > Benefits > Check Benefits > Overseas Usage Benefits > Lock Overseas Payment in KRW
- App > Menu (Top-Left Corner) > Manage My Cards > Lock Overseas Payment in KRW
If funds are deposited into your payment account after the operating hours (4:00 PM) of the account-issuing financial institution, the automatic withdrawal may fail on that same day due to the institution’s internal schedules, causing your payment to be processed as delinquent.
If you wish to make a payment on the same day after the automatic withdrawal cut-off time has passed, you can do so by using the ‘Pay Now’ feature on the Hyundai Card website or app, or by depositing (transferring) the funds to your dedicated deposit (virtual) account.
(Check the details on card bill payment via Website > Account > Card Transaction > Card Statements or App > Menu (Top-Left Corner) > Card Transaction > Card Statements)

- The annual fee for a family card is determined by the specific annual fee policy of each card product
- Up to five family cards can be issued per primary card. These cards will be issued under the same international brand network as the primary card
- The previous month’s spending requirements and benefit usage limits for supplementary services are calculated on a combined basis for both the primary and family cards. All other usage policies are identical to those of the primary card
- For year-end tax filing purposes, the spending amount on a family card is attributed to the individual family cardholder (whose name is printed on the physical card), and annual income criteria will follow the standards set by the National Tax Service
- If the primary cardholder wishes to receive transaction notifications for family card usage, they must submit a separate request via the Customer Service Center (1577-6000)
- Billing statements for family cards will be sent to the designated address and via the method chosen during the issuance of the primary card Family Transfer
- In the event of a change in family relations (e.g., divorce, death, or annulment of adoption), you can suspend or cancel the family cards via Hyundai Card website, app, or Customer Service Center
-
Cancellation requests can be made by the primary cardholder via the website or app, and suspension requests can only be processed through the Customer Service Center
- Website > Account > My Cards > Manage Your Cards > Cancellation
- App > Menu (Top-Left Corner) > My Cards > Manage Your Cards > Cancellation
- Customer Service Center: 1577-6000
- At the request of the primary cardholder, a family card’s credit limit can be adjusted, or the card can be suspended or canceled without requiring the consent of the family cardholder
- Failure to suspend or cancel family cards following a change in family relations may result in unintended card usage, for which the primary cardholder will remain fully financially responsible
- If the primary card is canceled, associated family cards will automatically be canceled after approximately seven business days
